Chocolate smears

Imagine a little girl with chocolate smears around her mouth looking at you with the most innocent eyes she can muster and telling you that she has absolutely no idea as to who has been sampling the cake. As long as she holds to her lie, your relationship is affected. As soon as she admits her guilt, the consequences can be taken care of and the relationship can be repaired. We all stand before God with a lot more than chocolate smears around our mouths! As long as we keep trying to pretend that we do not need God's help, He cannot help us.
