"Hope at Home" Launched by Hope Channel in Response to COVID-19

Silver Spring, MDMar 16, 2020, 11:28 PM

In response to COVID-19, and increased safety precautions and building closures, Hope Channel launched Hope at Home on Saturday, March 14, 2020 to provide a way to worship from the comfort and safety of the home for viewers. The anchor brand included live episodes of Let’s Pray and Hope Sabbath School, with conversations centered around hope during this uncertain time. The special live broadcast was also made available on Sunday, March 15, 2020 and will air again on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22.

“It is our mission to share God’s good news of a better life for today and for eternity,” said Derek Morris, president of Hope Channel International, Inc. (HCI). “During times such as these, it is more important than ever to provide an environment of worship and prayer for our viewers so that they may feel uplifted and remember we always have hope in Jesus.”

In addition to the Hope at Home special live broadcast, Hope Channel will continue to produce Let’s Pray LIVE with only the minimum number of staff necessary to protect the safety and health of all involved. For this same reason, the HCI office will be closed with limited access from staff from March 16 – 29, 2020. “Our programming on our channels will continue as usual, and we shall continue attending to our viewer and donor calls,” said Gideon Mutero, vice president for finance of HCI.

Hope Channel invites all viewers and any who wish to worship to tune into Hope at Home on Saturday, March 21 starting at 8:30am ET. Access this and all other programming through the Hope Channel app, available through HopeTV.org/apps.
