The Church of Pergamos - Episode 3
Babylon evokes negative connotations, but it managed to influence Christianity much more than you might think.
The night that Cyrus conquered the ancient city of Babylon, a long-standing prophecy was finally fulfilled. The head of gold from Nebuchadnezzar's dream - Daniel chapter two - had given way to the chest and arms of silver. In other words, Babylon had fallen to the Medes and the Persians. But in spite of her collapse, the influence of Babylon the Great was just getting started.
